VCCA SO CAL TOUR
SATURDAY THE 10TH OF
SEPTEMBER
Rick Willis and I met with 18 of our car folks at
Saturn & Seal Beach Blvd parking lot above Original Parks
Group. The rain had really come down around 7:30AM to 8:30
AM that morning but was only sprinkles when we arrived. Jim
and Judy Lundal brought their 56 BelAir and Gary Howard his
57 station wagon. Dennis and Virginia Byard met us at
Crevier with their yellow 64 Malibu. The others came in
Corvettes and Modern vehicles.
We departed at 9:45 and proceeded up Pacific Coast
Highway to Newport Beach receiving a few thumbs up from some
Corvette drivers also other people looking at the old cars.
. When we arrived in Newport we went through the Back Bay
area and said it was beautiful. It is nature preserve for
sea life and plant life.
Next destination was Crevier Classic Cars in Costa
Mesa where we seen rows and rows of classic cars that are
displayed in a very elegant manor. Leaving Crevier’s we
drove through a part of Old Newport where the older homes
are unique, streets lined with trees and feels like days of
the past. At the end of our tour we arrived at La Choza’s
Mexican restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. After we
satisfied our hunger Joyce and Rick Willis had a drawing
with prizes for everyone. Gary Howard walked a way with the
“JUST BECAUSE” trophy “JUST BECAUSE” THANKS TO ALL
FOR COMING AND MAKING OUR DAY FUN!
