All-Calif. Meet

Tulare, CA

2011

The All-California (All-Cal) Meet is a yearly event hosted by one of the Region's within California. The 2011 Meet was hosted by the Central Valley Region and the site selected for the Meet was Tulare, CA.

This event brings together members of the many other California Regions and it is beginning to draw VCCA members from adjacent states such as Oregon, Nevada and Arizona and even a 4-cylinder from Nebrraska. The 3 day event saw several different type outings which kept most everyone busy all 3 days. Some events were "The Follies", Airplane Museum, a special Car Collection, a Banquet, and on and on. The weather prior to the meet was great.

Jim & Judy Lundal and Dick & Arlene Dennis attended the Meet from the So Cal Region. The Central Valley Region did a great job of coordination during the 3 day event.

Tulare, CA is located south of Fresno, CA on Highway 99. Driving to Tulare we passed a familiar site of a B-17 which has been sitting in the same location for many years.

Our first day out was a visit to a local Ag Museum containing a display of vintage farm equipment.

Our next stop is a familiar to many in the VCCA. It was Tom Meleo's car collection at his Environmentally controlled building located in one of his Orange Groves. This collection is seen in more detail in another location of this Web Site.
